Hi and welcome,

I assume you are here because you either haven’t looked at a blog before or you are lost. Well me too. Lost that is.

Maybe I can help you. Maybe you can help me? We may never know.

This is a blog…. It is a log of my web. Web log. WeBlog, get it?  Ok, really it’s a collection of ramblings I have written down over the last few years including things I’ve found amusing, amazing, cute and/or interesting out there. By which I mean the wide world as well as the internet.

Finding your way around (or to be more technical and to show off my nerdiness let’s call it Navigation)

What makes finding your way around these pages slightly easier is the bits on the side of the page.

Under the title Filter you can click on any word in the list and the marvellous people who serve my blog will display all the articles I have written ‘tagged’ by me with that word. They are so clever they will show you them with the latest ones at the top of the page! Under Archive you will see a list of all the months I have written articles in and how many.

Pretty self evident is the search box which will..er, um.. search. It just searches through this site rather than the entire interweb so it won’t take long.

Clever lads those servers!

For example: For all the articles I have written tagged cycling click this link.

Note Bene; Also if you click on a word or one of the words at the top of each article you will get a list of all articles that have that word or ‘tag’ associated with them.

The articles that are this blog are also cleverly organized by date on the right-hand side column lower down. If you want all the entries I wrote in a particular month, click on that month under the Archive heading.

If you want to start a blog of your own I can help too. I suggest you start by looking at WordPress.com or  Blogger as it’s free. It has a few draw backs but is a good place to start. you can transfer at a later stage.

Blogging Hardware and Software

When you are tired of the restrictions of Blogger or WordPress.com you can try downloading the software that makes this blog work from wordpress.org and get yourself some space on a server or, if you are rich, a whole server to yourself and install wordpress. This is the route you need to take if you want COMPLETE CONTROL and no branding on your site.

Weasely words and small print type stuff

As this blog is written mostly by me and like most bloggers I write when and what I like, when I feel like writing about it or not. If you want to read it that’s fine as I have put it in this public place. I endevour not to mislead or tell blatent lies but be aware that I have a big tongue and ample cheaks. Nuff said. If I linked to something on your website and you don’t like it or think I quoted you out of context tell me before you phone your lawyer.
