Review of Brittany Ferries Cork-Roscoff

The remaining ferry service from Cork takes ten hours to get to France but when I used he service in August it was an easy ten hours. I went with my daughter who loved the swimming pool and also made use of the cinemas and was delighted with the live magic show.
We had a two bunk cabin which was a novelty in itself. Beds that swung down from the walls, our own little shower room and swipe card door locks all met with approval.
We had bought some food along but the self service cafe was reasonable and an extensive shop allowed us to stock up on maps and other last minute omissions.
The web site gives a pretty good range of information but was unable to cope with our particular combination of two people and two bikes. (It would only consider us as two separate bookings) but the human at the end of the booking line was able to sort things out quick enough.
For my daughter the ferry was one of the high points of the cycle camping trip to Britany and for me the experience of stepping into a little piece of France at Cork dockside is pleasurable and memorable.
when i read this the other day a little bit of Ireland was on the French news; also about a boat, but one with illicit substances and i’m pretty sure the announcer said Castletownbere – but his accent was heavy French so i may be wrong.
@Chris, he did, it was.
