HOW TO FEED YOUR TWITTER

Twitter is like SMS or text messaging for the  internet. It is either a waste of everyone’s time or the best thing since sliced bread. Depends who you talk to.

I like it. What seems amazing to me apart from the fact that no one thought of it sooner is there are hundreds of way you can use it for your own ends.

Many people seem to be coming up with new add on services. the variety is just phenomenal; If you want a map of Ireland and the location of all the latests twitter postings you can. If you want to look at all the latest comments on the presidential race in america, easy.

Twitter feed takes your blog posts and feeds them into a Twitter account to save you having to Tweet your own blog postings.

You can either set up your own special account as I have done at http://twitter.com/BlogBeara or you can feed them into your regular twitter feed so they will appear as if you had sent them yourself.

This may be the way to go for most people but I rather intuitively wanted to keep things separate so that my Twitter feed for this blog appears on Twitter like a mini synopsis of the blog itself.

This enables people to subscribe to the updates rather than the ramblings of my mind on a twenty minute basis. Not always pretty

So clear now?

My mind stream is on Twitter at http://twitter.com/DeepSpin or just send FOLLOW DeepSpin to Twitter if you have an account.

and you can get Twitter updates of my blog postings by following BlogBeara at: http://twitter.com/BlogBeara

An extra service that links closely with Twitter is Blip.fm. This allows you to create a mini radio station online and people can get updates on what tracks you are playing as they go out on air via Twitter natuurally.

Right then. Get back to me! :-)
