Get all the Trees, Put them in a Tree Museum…

bike.jpg Still on our four day hotel break with no kids and two bikes on the back of the car. Visited the JFK Arboretum near new Ross. Co Wexford. A vast park of trees. We were there in the morning and not many other people around. The Gate man took our near ‘dollar and a half’ (at current exchange rates). He said it was ok to cycle as there was not to many other people there.

Turns out this is the best way to see the place as the main trail is a three kilometre smooth tarmac path and the museum is a surreal Zen like experience. I imagine working there. There would be no massive seasonal frenzy like in a park. No spring flowering and annual planting. I imagine a slowed down pace.Trees, so much a backdrop normally, when they are brought to the foreground it creates a strange inversion. I imagine someone working there for thirty years and just starting to see some trees mature. A long term perspective. Would it be frustrating or would it teach you so much you just became a better person?
