Re stop the forwards, some of the spelling is incorrect. Faux pas & Wildebeest are correct.
What about using BCC You put your own id in the To. box and the recipients in BCC so nobody sees the other names. :)

We get a lot of really fun e-mail (which we read, enjoy and maybe forward) and a lot that are tiresome (we X/delete or only partially read those). I would rather get it all, know I'm in touch with these friends, and enjoy the enjoyable mail, than to not hear from these friends at all.

Use of the BCC is an absolute must!

Excellent article Dave. Another option for those who love the articles, funny pics, internet weirdness and the promise of being trampled to death by a heard of Wilda Beast if they don't send it on is to try out our site.
IT was mad with the simple intention of posting it all there (stopthefwds.com) so that you don't bug other with it! We actually encourage people to send us your funny junk emails and then commit to stop sending them to everyone else!
Another great point you made is using BCC...privacy matters! It's a big pet peeve when people don't use this method and now people I don't want to have my email!
Thanks

Great post and thank you for the shout out for StopForwarding.Us. Your point about using social bookmarking sites as an alternative source for discovering and sharing content is sage.
