I was sailing my small dingy across the harbour and I was close under the bows of the large fishing boatsand thinking 'are these huge boats really just sitting here because they have filled there quota for the season?' They seem to be in the harbour all the time. It's one of those mysteries that is probably self evident to all the fishermen and their families and all the people who work in the industry but I have no idea why all this hardware should be hanging around. It must cost millions. Is there not anything else that could be done with these boats? Answers on a postcard please….

This strange house is in Castletownbere near where I live. The doors and windows are all fake or at least boarded up and painted on. Why this is, is beyond me. The only hint that I can see is that the house itself is on the small size. Maybe it was build for the little people and they can no longer pay the rent? If you know the story of this house please do send it in. The best story wins a prize.
